Edwin Montgomery

Edwin Montgomery is a Senior Software Engineer at Curavi Health, Inc. He applies his knowledge of Population Health and Machine Learning to help deliver innovative solutions to enhance the quality of care for residents in skilled nursing facilities and in the broader post-acute care environment.

Prior to Curavi, Edwin was the Technology lead of a 21 member, cross-functional, healthcare technology team from startup level through multiple rounds of venture funding for GSI Health, Inc. He also led a team for the University of Pittsburgh’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) competition, where they built a portable device that detected lethal forms of heart murmurs using machine learning.

Prior to GSI Health, Edwin was the Founder and CTO of Automatic Websites, Inc. for 14 years which included clients that managed over $20 Billion in assets.

Edwin graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering focusing on Robotics. He also attended a Harvard University Entrepreneurial Bootcamp. After graduation, he worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratories where he designed custom, embedded computers for the Cassini mission to Saturn which ran non-stop for 20 years, and over three billion miles.
