Kim Ward is the Telemedicine Educator at Curavi Health, Inc. a company focused on delivering innovative solutions to enhance the quality of care for residents in skilled nursing facilities and in the broader post-acute care environment. Curavi Health is a portfolio company of UPMC Enterprises, and is being built on the latest in interdisciplinary clinical research in the field of improving senior care through telemedicine.
Prior to Curavi, Kim was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, Pa. Kim completed her Certified Nurse Assistant program in 2005 from Walter Reed Convalescence Center in Gloucester, Va. She specialized in working with memory care, long-term care, and rehabilitation patients. Kim obtained her Practical Nurse Licensure from Rappahannock Community College in Glens, Va. and New Horizon School of Nursing in Hampton, Va. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with Excelsior College and Westmoreland County Community College. Also, Kim was a recipient of the 2015 DAISY Award from the DAISY Foundation.
